The gangster and chief of the Akhil Bharatiya Sena lost in Byculla, despite a high pitched campaign by his wife and daughter.

Gawli was externed from Mumbai and is presently lodged at Taloja Prison in Navi Mumbai.

The daughter of slain Bharatiya Janata Party leader Pramod Mahajan lost in Ghatkopar West constituency.

She was beaten by the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's Rama Kadam by 26,228 votes.

Vinod Kambli, the maverick former Indian cricketer lost from Vikhroli in central Mumbai.

Kambli finished fourth in the final tally. The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's Mangesh Sangle won the seat.

The TV show host and Shiv Sena poster boy lost to the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's Nitin Sardesai in Mahim in central Mumbai.

Bandekar finished third behind Sardesai and Congress' Sada Sarvankar.

The former Indian cricketer and father of batsman Yuvraj Singh lost from Panchkula in Haryana. 

Singh was beaten by the Congress's Davinder Bansal by 12,260 votes.
