The clashes erupted at Maisuma and adjoining areas in Srinagar, Baramulla and Sopore towns of north Kashmir as groups of protestors demanding release of arrested youth indulged in stone-pelting on the police and Central Reserve Police Force. Officials said six persons, including a scribe, were injured in the clashes. Police fired teargas shells and used batons to disperse the protestors.
