No merger with Congress: Chiranjeevi

September 23, 2009 21:48 IST

Praja Rajyam Party chief Chiranjeevi [ Images ] today strongly refuted reports that his party has merged with Congress, saying it was only a "media creation".

Chiranjeevi, who arrived in Vijayawada, along with his wife to offer prayers at the famous Sri Durgamalleswara Swamivarla Devastanam and at Kanakadurgamata temple, told reporters that he recently met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah at Tirupati to discuss problems of the constituency that he represented.

"I met the chief minister at Tirupati as a local legislator and not to discuss any politics. I brought to his notice some local issues," Chiranjeevi said, adding similarly other party colleagues had also met him over problems of their respective constituencies.
