Four CISF jawans killed in landmine blast by Naxalites

Four jawans of the Central Industrial Force were killed and two others injured when their jeep was blown up in a landmine blast triggered by the Naxalites [ Images ] in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, the police said.

The blast occurred when the CISF jawans were patrolling in the district's Bicheli area.

When their jeep reached deposit number 10, the Naxalites triggered the blast, said Inspector General G R K Vij.

The security men were posted at the National Mining Development Corporation in the area, he said, adding that the injured have been admitted to a local hospital.
