Bhajan Lal's MLAs head to Congress

November 09, 2009 17:22 IST
Bhajan Lal's party, the Haryana Janhit Congress, has now split, with four legislators planning to join the Congress

The four newly-elected members of the legislative assembly plan to meet Congress Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Chandigarh on Monday evening where they will formally join the party.

With this development, Bhajan Lal's son Kuldeep Bishnoi, with just two MLAs on his side, stands isolated. He was expected to join the Congress, but the latest development has taken the wind out of his sails.
