MP: Four suspected terrorists arrested

Four suspected terrorists who were arrested on Wednesday by the ATS and Madhya Pradesh [ Images ] police, were remanded to police custody till November 30 by a local court in Jabalpur.

All the four suspected terrorists remanded in police custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Sharad Chandra Saxena, were arrested in a joint operation conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad and the local police in the Char Khambha area of the city, police said.

The arrested - Afroze and Azad are residents of Jabalpur, while Imran and Amjad hail from Jaipur [ Images ] in Rajasthan [ Images ]. All the four men are suspected to have links with the banned Students Islamic Movement of India [ Images ] (SIMI [ Images ]) outfit, they said.

Their lawyer Naeem Khan told PTI, that police had caught them on October 30 but their arrests were shown today.
