India Oracle Applications Users' Group formed

Email this story to a friend. Over 70 major customers of Oracle applications software announced the formation of a users' group in India named India Oracle Applications Users' Group or IOAUG.

This society will be part of the worldwide Oracle Applications Users' Group that has over 4,000 members all over the world.

The IOAUG is an independent body formed and funded by the users of Oracle applications in the country.

The OAUG will provide a forum for sharing information and experience on the selection, installation, configuration, implementation, effective use, maintenance and continued support of Oracle applications products.

In doing so, the group will maintain a mechanism for establishing and communicating to Oracle Corporation the members' collective priorities for future development, direction and enhancement of Oracle applications products to ensure continuous improvement.

According to M Sasi, the chairman of IOAUG, ''The objective of forming such an user group is to share knowledge and gain from the learning of each other. Also by forming the India chapter of the Oracle Applications Users Group, the customers of Oracle applications in India who would join IOAUG will become members of OAUG worldwide. The IOAUG provides a forum for sharing information and experience on the selection, implementation and effective use of the Oracle applications products. The IOAUG is affiliated to Asia-Pacific Oracle Users Group."
