The centre, which will be a part of Aptech's Asset International chain, will offer professional and career training.

Aptech Executive Director Pramod Khera said the centre would act as a model for the South African countries. The millennium plans are to expand significantly in South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria and Ghanna.

''By 2002, we will have over 40 centres operational on the African continent,'' he said. Currently, the company has centres in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Botswana.
