Hughes, Zip Telecom launch private payphones

Email this story to a friend. Zip Telecom Limited has unveiled a unique payphone business model in Bombay on the Hughes Ispat Limited network.

A company aided exclusive outlet located in the Masjid area of the city was inaugurated by HIL CEO Deepak Dutt.

The government to licensed HIL to provide basic telephone services in Maharashtra and Goa. The company has emphasised its strong commitment the expeditious delivery of basic telephone services in the Maharashtra telecom circle.

Dutt said, "The launch of our services along with Zip Telecom's payphone is a great way to announce the beginning of our operations in Bombay. HIL is committed to providing world-class technology in basic telephone to the people of Maharashtra."

As a countdown to the formal launch of its services in Bombay, Zip Telecom has announced signing on offer for new franchisees Zipfone Dhamama valid up to March 31, wherein the prospective franchisee pays Rs 29,900 as against the regular price of Rs 48,000, Dutt said.
