HCL begins to power Infiniti range with Xeon

Email this story to a friend. HCL Infosystems, the flagship of the $600-million HCL Group, has announced the launch of its high-end 'Infiniti Global Line' range of workstations and servers incorporating Intel's Pentium II Xeon processor.

The Infiniti Global Line range of servers and workstations will be manufactured at HCL Infosystems' ISO 9002 certified facilities at Noida and Pondicherry.

The product range is the country's first to be based on the Xeon.

The servers are targeted at corporations across all segments of the industry, including manufacturing, telecom, finance and banking and the government.

The Infiniti Global Line is capable of supporting high-end graphics applications too.

Kanwaljit Singh, general manager, marketing, Intel India, has said "The Pentium II Xeon processors feature technical innovations specifically designed for workstations and servers. Systems based on the Pentium II Xeon will deliver the performance and features comparable to proprietary systems at nearly half the price.''
