The company expects to target a big increase in the market demand for total solutions in the next couple of years, a demand it hopes to exploit.

Sources said that the company was also looking at IT applications other than the Y2K problem other firms were preoccupied with. But after 2000, when the problem is behind them, Mastech would have the advantage. But the company already has a fully automated Y2K solution.

Mascot hopes to provide a broad band of IT solutions, catering to the telecom, transport, manufacturing, marketing and retailing segments, among others.

The company posted a revenue of about Rs. 82.6 million in 1996-97 and doubling its turnover for the year ended March 31.
