Alt News' Zubair sent to 14-day judicial custody

The chief metropolitan magistrate of Patiala House Court of Delhi on Saturday dismissed the bail petition of Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair.

The court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.

"The bail plea of Mohammed Zubair has been canceled and our application for judicial remand has been accepted. Three new sections have been invoked 201 and 120 of IPC and 35 FCR Act," said Atul Shrivastava, special public prosecutor for the Delhi police. -- ANI
