Maha to reopen all places of worship from Oct 7

All places of worship in Maharashtra will be reopened from October 7, the first day of Navratri, the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Office has announced.

This comes on the heels of the government deciding to reopen schools across the state from October 4.

Maharashtra has been seeing a steady decline in Covid cases, and on Friday it reported 3,286 new coronavirus cases and 51 deaths, which took the state's infection tally to 65,37,843 and death toll to 1,38,776.
