CDS chopper crash: Rajnath to brief Parl today

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh would brief the Parliament today on the crash of the military chopper which was carrying Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and 13 other persons.

The Defence Minister visited Gen Rawat's residence in New Delhi after the Indian Air Force helicopter carrying him along with some senior defence officers crashed near Coonor in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

Gen Rawat was accompanied by his wife.

The defence minister briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the incident yesterday.

The IAF has ordered an inquiry into the accident. -- ANI
