Rajeev Kumar assumes charge as the new Election Commissioner of India. He joins the Election Commission of India with Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora and Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra. Rajeev Kumar replaces Ashok Lavasa who resigned with effect from August 31.
