World number 1 Barty drops out of Australian Open

The world number 1 and Aussie home girl Ashleigh Barty has lost the semi-finals of the Austrlian Open against world number 14 Sofia Kenin. Barty lost in two straight sets -- 6-7, 5-7. Kenin, the 21-year-old, was playing her first Grand Slam semi-final, but played a strong game of tennis to overcome Barty. The American will now play the finals against the winner of the Simona Halep vs Garbine Muguruza match.
