Supreme Court advocates Sanjay Hegde and Sadhana Ramachandran, the '" mediators appointed by the court are at Shaheen Bagh for the 2nd consecutive day of talks with protesters. Advocate Ramachandran addressing the protesters, who yesterday had welcomed them with cheers and applause.

Ramachandran said, "The matters related to CAA, NRC, NPR are with the Supreme Court. Neither you nor I can say when it will come up with the courts. We have been sent by the SC to ask you how it can help you till it hears the matters."

"Shaheen Bagh barkara rahega. The protests will continue at Shaheen Bagh. Do you have faith in the SC? So I want to ask you if it is possible to continue the protests at Shaheen Baug without blocking the roads and creating problems for other people. It would be very nice, and we will try our best, that we can have talks here with you. But if there is no other way out then this matter will go to the SC and it will then be decided by the SC.

"There is no problem that does not have a solution. We have to show the country that we are true citizens of India. And the solution will be found in Shaheen Bagh itself," Ramachandran said.

"We are here to listen to you, not to the media. The media is here to cover the protests not give advice. We are not here to listen to the media. I request the media to please leave. We will talk only when the media leaves."
