Puri, Vijayan to visit AI plane crash site

Civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Kerala governor Arif Mohammad Khan and chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan to visit Karipur today, where an Air India Express flight from Dubai with 190 on board overshot the tabletop runway in Kozhikode airport, killing 18 people.

"18 people, including two pilots, have lost their lives. It is unfortunate. 127 people are at hospitals, others have been released," Puri said.

"Our task would have been much more difficult if the plane had caught fire. I am going to the Kozhikode International Airport in Karipur," he added.
