G C Murmu sworn-in as new CAG

JUST IN: Girish Chandra Murmu was sworn in as the Comptroller and Auditor-General of India at a ceremony held today at 10.30 am in the Ashoka Hall, a Rashtrapati Bhavan release said.

'He made and subscribed to the oath of office before the President,' it said.

Murmu will have a tenure up to November 20, 2024.
