250th session of RS to be celebrated

Rajya Sabha chairperson, M Venkaiah Naidu is planning mega celebrations for the 250th session of the Upper House in the Central Hall of parliament. The Winter session of Parliament is expected to commence in the third week of November and will coincide with the sitting of President of India Ramnath Kovind, Prime Miniister Narendra Modi and Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha Harivansh Narayan Singh who will address the gathering.

Naidu also wanted to invite almost all the members of Rajya Sabha scattered all over India on the first day of the session. There will be seminars and meetings to celebrate the session and a special book is being published with a list of living legends of the Rajya Sabha.
