How the media gurus reacted to Jaitley's passing

Former finance minister Arun Jaitley's death, understandably, saw an outpouring of condolences online, but none as eloquent as what journalists had to say about his.

"Mentor" seemed to have been the favourite word of many describe him. His journalistic durbars were recalled by some, both in a positive and negative manner.

What everyone agreed on was that he knew the world of journalism better than most suspected, and more importantly, knew the owners.

All of which has prompted the Indian Journalism Review to list out 45 tributes journos paid to the departed soul, ranging from the panagyric to the honest.
