The Supreme Court Thursday allowed the deportation of seven Rohingyas, who have illegally crossed the border to India via Assam, to their country of origin Myanmar. It said the seven Rohingyas were found by the competent court as illegal immigrants and Myanmar had accepted them as its citizens. "We are not inclined to interfere on the decision taken," the SC said on the impending deportation.

The Centre had told the apex court earlier that the seven Rohingyas were convicted under the Foreigners Act and Myanmar has issued a certificate of identity to seven Rohingyas along with a one month visa to facilitate deportation.
