Shortly before Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa's test of strength, he is addressing the house.

There was speculation that Yeddyurappa would resign but the BJP insisted he wasn't going to resign.

Here are highlights from his speech:

-- People have blessed us with 104 seats. The mandate wasn't for Congress or JD-S

-- Under the Congress government, the farmers of this state have not had water to drink or to give to their cattle

-- I have travelled extensively across the state in the last two years

-- Till the last breath of my life, I will go on working for the people of Karnataka

-- -- I will ensure farmers have a life of dignity. I wanted to allot Rs 1.5 lakh crore for irrigation, increase support price for farmers, and help the farm labourers. My heart beats with compassion

-- BJP has faith in democracy

-- Some people who had promised to support us, hasn't done so

-- In the 2019 elections, BJP will win 28 of the 28 seats.
