Two goof-ups in a day for the BJP.

Hours after BJP's IT Chief Amit Malviya tweeted the Karnataka poll dates before the Election Commission announced them, triggering a probe, the party president Amit Shah has now called its Chief Ministerial candidate in Karnataka, BS Yeddyurappa, corrupt.

Addressing a press conference in poll bound Karnataka, Shah said, "Recently a retired Supreme Court judge said if there was ever a competition of the most corrupt government then the Yeddyurappa government is number one."

Shah of course meant incumbent Congress CM Siddaramaiah.

As a stunned Yeddyurappa, who was seated to Shah's right looked on, a BJP leader seated to Shah's left leaned in and corrected him.

Shah corrected himself, but it was too late.

The Congress tweeted and retweeted the video. Congress social media head Divya Spandana tweeted, "Who knew @AmitShah could also speak the truth- we all concur with you Amit ji @BSYBJP is the most corrupt!"

Even Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took a dig at the BJP chief. "The #ShahOfLies finally speaks truth. Thank you @AmitShah."

Yeddyurappa who was the Karnataka CM during the BJP rule, had to step down after corruption allegations.
