In huge a relief for Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has cleared him of match-fixing charges and awarded him a Grade B contract.

Now, Shami can be part of Delhi Daredevils team in Indian Premier League 2018.

Shami's annual contract was put on hold by the BCCI after his wife Hasin Jahan levelled charges of domestic violence and attempt to murder

"Mr Neeraj Kumar has submitted his confidential report to the CoA. Based on the conclusions in the said report, the CoA is of the view that no further actions/ proceedings under the BCCI anti-corruption code are warranted in the matter, the BCCI said in a statement.

For this reason, the BCCI shall proceed with offering a Grade B annual retainership contract to Mohd. Shami," it said.
