SC Jamir bows out as Odisha governor after 5 years

Governor S C Jamir of Odisha completes his five-year tenure today, becoming the UPA government's last gubernatorial appointee to bow out of office, after spending the last four years of his term under the NDA government.

Satya Pal Malik, governor of Bihar, has been given additional charge of Odisha until a new incumbent is appointed.
