Even after getting a clearance from the Censor Board by changing its name and carrying out suggested modifications, Sanjay Leela Bhansalis Padmavat will not be released in Rajasthan.

State Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said the 'earlier orders' of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, prohibiting the release of the movie, will be followed.

"Following earlier orders of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, movie Padmavat will not be released in the state," Kataria told ANI.

The Rajput Karni Sena, which has been spearheading the protests against the Deepika Padukone-starrer movie, has already declared that it will 'set theatres showing Padmavat afire'.

The Central Board of Film Certification had earlier decided to give a U/A certificate to the movie after a few 'modifications'.

The movie is set to release on January 25.  -- With ANI inputs
