RBI to introduce new Rs 10 notes, old notes legal

The Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue Rs 10 denomination bank notes. All Rs 10 bank notes issued by the RBI in the earlier series will continue to be legal tender, reports ANI.

The new note will bear the picture of the Konark Sun Temple. The apex bank has already printed around 1 billion pieces of the new note. The design was approved by the government last week.
