Will try our best for early disposal of cases: CJI

Chief Justice of India Jagdish Singh Khehar today assured early disposal of court cases.

"I assure you, we will try our best for early disposal of cases," the CJI said at a book launch in New Delhi.

Justice Khehar said,' While Justice is inspirational, judicial reforms are only aspirational."

"Our first objective was to fill up the most important positions. We made recommendations for appointment of judges to the SC and that has come through," He added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present at the launch. He said that efficient governance can reduce burden on the judiciary.
