At least 3 killed in explosion at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan

3 killed and 13 others injured in explosion at Bagram Airfield, the largest US base in Afghanistan.

"We can confirm there was an explosion at Bagram Airfield this morning just after 5:30 a.m. There have been casualties. Our Force Protection and medical teams are responding to the situation. As we get more information, we will release it," the NATO-led Resolute Support Mission announced in a statement.

The district governor of Bagram, Abdul Shokor Qodosi told Reuters that at least three were killed in the explosion and as many as 13 are injured. He said the blast happened near a dining facility.
