The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday accused All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader Asaduddin Owaisi of speaking the language of terrorist Hafiz Saeed and said he has started 'insulting' the motherland for 'cheap popularity'.

The BJP said in their 'hate politics' against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leaders like Owaisi have begun opposing 'Mother India'.

"Owaisi and some other leaders are speaking the language of Hafiz Saeed. They should not do it for cheap popularity. He should not insult the motherland. While opposing Modi, he hasnow started opposing Mother India," BJP national secretary Shrikant Sharma said.

He said it was 'height of vote bank politics' that on theone hand, Owaisi is making such statements, while on the other, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and Left leadersare supporting those who raise slogans in support of breaking up India.
