Allegations against Geelani grievous, police tells court

Allegations against ex-DU lecturer SAR Gilani are grievous and against the country: Delhi Police tells court. A Delhi court today will hear the arguments on the bail application moved by former Delhi University lecturer SAR Geelani, arrested under sedition charges in connection with a Press Club event.

Geelani, who is in judicial custody, had on Wednesday moved a fresh bail application before the Patiala House Courts registry and was listed for yesterday before Additional Sessions Judge Deepak Garg, who was absent.

The bail plea is being heard now.
