The western lines service on the Mumbai railway network have been delayed due to overhead electrial line problems between Marine Lines and Charni Road stations.

According to reports, the breaking of overhead wires near Marine Lines have led to a complete breakdown of the railway services.

This comes hot on the heels of another disruption of suburban rail services on Friday, when irate commuters protesting over train delay blocked tracks at Badlapur station in neighbouring Thane district.

The commuters started protesting after a level-crossing gate signal caused a delay in suburban services of Central Railway by over 20 minutes early Friday morning.
