Four injured after army opens fire on protesters in Kupwara

At least four people suffered bullet injuries after army opened fire on protesters in Natnusa village of north Kashmirs Kupwara district on Friday.

Witnessses said that protests broke out in the area after Friday prayers against the killing of four civilians in Handwara earlier this week.

They said soldiers of 47RR opened fire on protesters, leaving four injured.

Three among the injured have been shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment.
