5-phase Bihar polls from October 12 to November 5

The Election Commission today announced the schedule for the Bihar assembly polls. The term of the 243-member state assembly comes to an end on November 29. The elections will be held in five phases, which goes like this:

1st phase: 12th October, Monday
2nd phase: 16th October, Friday
3rd phase: 28th October, Wednesday
4th phase: 1st November, Sunday
5th phase: 5th November, Thursday

Counting: November 8

Election ends on November 12.
