Shoaib Malik announces Test retirement

Pakistani cricket Shoaib Malik has announced his retirement from Test cricket.

The announcement comes on the day Malik finished with career best figures of 4 for 33 to fold up England for 306, putting Pakistan in a strong position on Day Three of the ongoing third and final Test against Pakistan at Sharjah on Tuesday.

At a press conference after the third day's play, Malik said: "Family comes first. This is the right time to say goodbye to this format."

Malik said he was disappointed to miss five years of Test cricket, but now says there are youngsters knocking on the door.
