Ahead of talks with Chinese premier, Modi gets ceremonial welcome in Beijing

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his second leg of his 3-day tour to China in Beijing today. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Great Hall of People and was welcomed by Chinese Premier  Li Keqiang. The two will later discuss several issues, including the boundary issue and the trade imbalance. 

Later in the day, PM Modi will meet Zhang Dejiang, the Chairman of the National People's Congress (China's Parliament). During his talks with Premier Li, PM Modi is expected to seek support for his Make in India initiative while inviting Chinese investments in the country.
