Sports ministry will recommend Saina Nehwal's name Padma Bhushan

OK, so here we go. The Sports Ministry will recommend ace badminton player SainaNehwal for the Padma Bhushan.

The Indian shuttler had lambasted the Sports Ministry on Saturday for its refusal to consider her for the country's third highest civilian honour alongside wrestler Sushil Kumar.

Olympic bronze medallist Saina, who was bestowed the Khel Ratna and Padma Shri in 2010 and also received the Arjuna award in 2009, said she was "sad" that the sports ministry felt two-time Olympic medallist Sushil deserves it more than her.
