Icy winds sweep Delhi, 29 trains delayed due to fog

Mercury hovered close to normal levels in the national capital today but icy winds ensured that Delhiites continue to feel the chill despite a sunny day.

The MeT department has predicted dense fog in the national capital tomorrow which would give way to a mainly clear sky by afternoon. Early morning fog disrupted rail operations, delaying 29 trains to and from the capital.

According to the MeT department, the minimum temperature settled at 7.8 degrees Celsius which was one notch above normal for this part of the year but considerably down from yesterday's minimum temperature of 12 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature today settled at 20.7 degrees Celsius, which is normal. Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius.
