Letters of protest pour in at 10 Janpath

Innumerable letters of protests are pouring in at 10 Janpath from former MPs and MLAs asking why Motilal Vora and CR Kesavan have been appointed trustees of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee.

A few Congress leaders are considering legal remedies in the Supreme Court as the bylaws of the Trust clearly mention that only Tamilians are to be appointed as trustees.

In the 1960s K Kamraj got 30 acres of land allotted to the TNCC in Tenampet in the heart of Chennai. In 2015 that land and building can be valued at an estimated Rs 5000 crore.

Congress VP Rahul Gandhi is keen to construct a mall with a seven-star hotel complex in collaboration with a Mumbai industrialist at the Tenampet grounds.

The first two floors will be given to the TNCC for its office.
