NCP leader RR Patil dies of multiple organ failure

Former Maharashtra home minister R R Patil died at the age of 57 of multiple organ failure at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital today.

Patil was undergoing treatment for oral cancer for almost a month.

Patil had an advanced form of oral cancer for which he underwent surgery last year at Breach Candy Hospital. The disease was involving the lymph nodes, The Times of India had reported in January.
