'84 riot victims to be given additional Rs 5 lakh as compensation

An additional rehabilitation package of Rs 5 lakh each has been sanctioned for the 1984 Sikh riot victims. In pursuance of the recommendations of Nanavaticommission, the family of each of the 1984 Sikh riot victims had got Rs 3.50 lakh as monetary help and now they will get an additional Rs 5 lakh as rehabilitation package.
