Jaitley must follow Advani and resign: Tewari
December 23, 2015  10:12
The Congress on Wednesday stepped up its demand for the resignation of Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, saying he must follow his 'erstwhile client' and Bharatiya Janata Party veteran leader L K Advani.

Congress leader Manish Tewari asserted that Jaitley should resign from his post for a fair probe into the allegations of financial irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association.

"Advani had resigned in the wake of the Hawala scam and it's only after Advani was cleared by the courts and Jaitley incidentally was his lawyer in that matter that Advani came back to the Parliament. So, since the prime minister has drawn that analogy, it would be an appropriate thing for Jaitley to follow his erstwhile client, resign from the government, clear his name and then if he is cleared, come back to the government," Tewari told ANI.
