French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius announced on Saturday that an agreement has been reached on the new climate draft that would be legally binding and keep temperature rises 'well below 2C'.
The deal would replace the Kyoto Protocol, the last major climate deal agreed in 1997.
Ministers from more than 190 countries have been engaged in 'shuttle diplomacy' between groups to find common ground and a deal was finally reached on Saturday.
Fabius also said that the climate accord is 'fair, lasting, dynamic and balanced'.
