Amid reports to the contrary that there are no remains of Sheena Bora's body, the Mumbai Police today said they had in fact exhumed the remains of what is 'suspected' to be Sheena's body.

Indian Express reports that the remains were exhumed from Pen taluka in Maharashtra where the Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and the driver Shyam Manohar Rai, dumped it on April 25.

According to the driver's confessional statement, Indrani strangled Sheena to death and dumped the body at Gogade Khurdm, a ravine in Pen. The driver said Khanna helped Indrani dispose Sheenas body.

The day before, on April 24, Sheena was pushed into Indrani's car in Bandra near National College. She had been dropped off by her boyfriend and Peter Mukerjea's son, Rahul.

Last night, Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria, who is heading the probe, said, "We have been able to ascertain the motive behind the murder.
