GST discussion: Opposition walks out of Lok Sabha

Congress, TMC, Left, NCP stage walk out demanding that GST Constitution Amendment Bill be referred to Standing Committee.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on the Constitutional amendment for the Goods and Services Tax:

"GST can lead to 2 per cent increase in GDP. The UPA must start supporting legislation that was introduced my itself. You should be happy that the good work that was done by your government... I'm accepting that, complimenting you and taking it forward. I request the Speaker to allow a start to the debate on this subject"
