Crediting the Congress with bringing stability to Maharashtra's economy, former state Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan urged the people to vote for development during the October 15 Assembly polls.

"Congress took over the reins of power 15 years back when there was an unstable economy and it transformed the state into one of the most stable economies," Chavan said while addressing poll rallies yesterday at Nandgaon tehsil and tribal-dominated Harsul town in Nashik district.
