Trinamool MLA calls his party leaders 'extortionists'

NDTV reports: In West Bengal, a Trinamool Congress MLA from Burdwan has made a sensational statement that leaders of the party were extorting money from businessmen in the district.

Speaking at an internal party meeting at Manteshwar, legislator Tapan Chatterjee said Trinamool leaders are sending envelopes to businessmen with a note inside stating how much they should pay.

"Some of our TMC leaders are engaged in extorting money from different businessman of our area, they are sending envelope with a note stating the amount to be send to them by the businessman," said Chatterjee.
