Moderate Hurriyat asks NHRC to probe army firing

The moderate Hurriyat Conference today filed a petition before the National Human Rights Commission seeking an inquiry into yesterday's army firing incident in Kashmir's Budgam district which left two youths dead and two others injured.

"It is necessary to take up the matter and make an impartial investigation into the incident so that the guilty are brought to justice...," the Human Rights Division of the Hurriyat said in its petition to the NHRC.
