EC has to schedule elections in 6 months after assembly dissolved

NDTV reports: Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has set the ball rolling for fresh
elections in Delhi by recommending to the President that the assembly
elected in December last year be dissolved.
Once the assembly is dissolved, the Election Commission has to schedule elections within six months. The commission enrolls new voters in January and publishes revised rolls by the second week of that month and elections are likely after that, sources said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah reportedly favour fresh elections in February next.
